Data Converters

The PowerFactory base package allows for the import and conversion of network model data from a number of other modelling applications. In addition, bi-direction data exchange is possible using a DGS interface tool, which supports a range of data formats.

  • Support of various data conversion and interfacing options for bi-directional data exchange
  • DGS interface: Bi-directional, flexible DIgSILENT data exchange format (ASCII, XML, CSV, ODBC) supporting GIS and SCADA interfacing
  • Data import converter:
    • PSS/E1 (Siemens/PTI)
      • Supported versions: 27 – 35
      • Supported file formats: *.raw, *.rawx, *.seq and *.dyr
    • PSS/U (Siemens/PTI)
      • Supported file formats: *.dat, *.con and *.mot
    • PSS/ADEPT HUB (Siemens/PTI)
      • Supported file formats: *.dmp and *.con
    • Sincal (Siemens)
      • Supported file formats: *.mdb (MS Access) and *.db (SQLite)
    • UCTE (ENTSO-E)
      • Supported file formats: *.uct and *.ucte
    • Neplan
      • Supported versions: 5
      • Supported file formats: *.accdb, *.ndt, *.edt and *.cde
    • Integral1 (FGH)
      • Supported file formats: *.xml, *.dvg, *.dtf and *.bild
    • Reticmaster (Inspired Interfaces)
      • Supported file formats: *. rmd
    • ANAREDE and ANAFAS1
      • Supported file formats: *.pwf (ANAREDE), *.ana (ANAFAS) and *.lst for single line diagrams
  • Data export converter:
    • UCTE (ENTSO-E)
      • Supported file formats: *.uct and *.ucte

Additional converters are available but not part of the base package and have to be requested separately, they are listed in the chapter "Advanced Functions", section "Additional Data Converters".
