How can I use an existing MATLAB model and interface it with PowerFactory?

Category:
Dynamic Simulation
Summary

The Matlab Simulink - PowerFactory interfacing environment is possible via DSL. A small Simulink Model representing an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for a synchronous generator is exemplified.

Answer

The Matlab Simulink - PowerFactory simulation interface is described in detail in the User Manual, Chapter "Models For Dynamic Simulations", Section "Matlab Interface".

A simple Simulink Model representing an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) for a synchronous generator is provided in the attached example. The interfacing between Matlab and PowerFactory is therefore exemplified. The attachment contains the example files for PowerFactory and MATLAB and a short "ReadMe" document on how to install the model and use it in PowerFactory.

To perform simulations in combination with MATLAB and PowerFactory you will need a working MATLAB installation running on your computer.
