To calculate the current rating of a cable the Cable Ampacity calculation can be used. According to two different methods (IEC 60287, Neher-McGrath) the maximum current through a cable can be determined.

In the attached example, two different options are shown:

1. The Cable Ampacity of one pipe-type cable (without considering other nearby cables) is calculated.

2. The Cable Ampacity of the pipe-type cable and the parallel lines is calculated. A Cable Layout is used to consider the laying of both cable systems including the installation and environmental conditions.
